Social Media Policy/Guideline
Currently, College Employer Council (CEC) has established a social media presence on the following channels:

Content
CEC will do its best to deliver content that is relevant to those interested in CEC related activities, including College news, bargaining, benefits, and human resources practices.
Content may include:
Links to news releases, current events, reports, newsletters, blog posts, videos, presentations, College employment opportunities, and other education and post-secondary information.
Links to relevant information produced and published elsewhere, by media outlets, other organizations, Colleges, Unions, researchers, and others that can include videos, graphics, polls, and other posts that are repeated from other social media users (shares or “retweets”).
Facts, quotes, graphics and videos related to education, benefits, bargaining, and HR activities.
Social media may be a source of official CEC policy.
Posts, likes, favourites, comments, and shares should not be considered in any way binding or as an authoritative source of law, policy or guidance from CEC or others. The decision to post or share information should not be taken as an endorsement in all cases.
Following / Liking
The decision to follow a particular social media user or like a particular social media post page does not imply endorsement of or agreement with any or all of its content. CEC may connect with accounts that it believes may be relevant to its mandate.
Followers
Similarly, the appearance of a user as a follower of an CEC account does not imply endorsement of any kind. CEC reserves the absolute right to take steps to remove or block a follower, at its discretion, if or when that user repeatedly posts offensive, unwanted harassment, or spam content.
CEC Staff Social Media Use
Some CEC staff may post to social media sites under their own names or pseudonyms. Despite their affiliation with CEC, their posts do not necessarily represent the official position CEC, and may be considered the product of each individual as a private citizen.
