Benefits
The CEC is the policy holder for all group insurance benefits provided to college staff and retirees. Section 14.3 of Ontario Regulation 34/03 of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 states that "all colleges shall participate in the insurance benefits plans for colleges staff members for which the CEC is the deemed policy holder under subsection (2) or which are established by the Council under clause 13(2) (d) O. Reg. 34/03, s. 14(3)". The current underwriter is Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada.
